A utilization proposal for protecting the rich ecosystem of Prokopos Lagoon (Greece)

The article states that the lagoon is a rich ecosystem that is overburdened by human activities. It dictates the need for interventions in respect of the local environment and environmental legislation.

It states the importance of utilizing the knowledge from relevant Departments of the University of Patras in forming a masterplan of protective measures, as well as implicating local government and local communities in decision making. All these are necessary to achieve a sustainable tourism product.
