Tracking the turtles born in the Region of Murcia (Spain)

Do you remember the little turtles? The first loggerhead turtle nesting found in the Region of Murcia (Spain) was in 2019 at Calblanque, Monte de las Cenizas y Peña del Águila Regional Park and Inheritura area, in Cala Arturo cove.

They were released when they were one year old in Cartagena, the 7th of October 2020.

The satellite marks of Argonauta, Bobico, Caretto, Arturo, Anibal and Escipión, (name of the little turtles), continue to broadcast to this day and they are located in the Mediterranean Sea.

Argonauta, Bobico and Caretto, marks financed by ANSE with the collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Valencia; and Arturo, Anibal and Escipión marks financed by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

You can track them here. Follow their journeys online: at the time of the writing they are all scattered in the Mediterranean Sea.
